Santa Fe Trail Quilt Guild
August 3, 2010
Jill Burton called the meeting to order.

Fourteen members answer the roll call question:  What have you been  doing to stay cool in the last two weeks.  One guest was present:  Joann Ledham

Minutes were approved as sent out.
Treasurer’s Report:  Balance of $1,295.89
Old Business: 

Osage County Fair winners:  Jane Williams – Best of Show, Milton Booth – Best Pieced, Helen Ramsey – Best Applique

The Overbrook Fair is August 11, 2010.

Jill won Best of Show at the Shawnee County Fair.
Catherine Kane won Best of Show at Miami County Fair.

New Business:

Jane Anderson’s “face project” needs to be done in September.  Bring to the meeting to show.








The program was given by Dee Gerardy – Orphan Quilts.

Show and Tell was enjoyed by all.


August meeting will be Tuesday, September 7, at 7:00 p.m.

Roll Call was answered by 11 members.


No Treasurer’s Report was available.

Old Business:  None.

New Business:

     The Osage County Fairs in Osage and Overbrook were discussed.

    Sympathy was expressed to Vicki Lawrence for the passing of her mother.

    July birthdays:  Jan Anderson, Vicky Lawrence, Monica Prim, Elsie Stout

    Upcoming August birthdays:  Carol Schooler and Katie Shepard

    Jill presented Block of the Month # 7.


Show and Tell:  Chris Shipp, Catherine Kane, Doris Cryderman, Delores Rieck, Janet Woolverton, and Jill Burton.

The program was given by Delores Rieck – Signature Quilts.
Delores showed many signature quilts she had made over the years.

August meeting will be Tuesday, August 3, at 7:00 p.m.
The program will be given by Dee Gerardy - orphan blocks
